Rudest Experience:
After working in Hollywood for seven years, I can honestly say that there was no single person who was always rude. Some people had rude moments, but I learned that everyone is human and has good days and bad days. A few interactions hurt me deeply at the time, but with reflection, I realized that I might have played a small part in some of those situations too. Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s healthier to move on, not take things personally, and let go instead of holding onto negativity.
Nicest Experience:
The nicest person I ever worked with was John Travolta. He was visiting a remote island to receive an award, and I was assigned to assist him. My role was to act as a go-between with the local community. At the time, I worked in public relations and was technically just an assistant, but I was also a certified and experienced security guard. Because of that, I was the only person sent to help him during the trip.
Since the island was small, we traveled by taxi. During the ride, John didn’t act like a celebrity at all. By the time we reached our destination, he knew the taxi driver’s children’s names, had listened to her talk about her dreams and goals, and genuinely engaged with her life. He even learned a few words in her language. When we arrived, he thanked her warmly and gave her a hug.
What stayed with me the most was how genuinely he loved people. This wasn’t an act—he was like that all the time. His kindness felt natural and sincere. I remember thinking that if anyone ever tried to hurt him, the people around him would immediately step in to protect him, simply because he treated everyone with such warmth and respect. He was truly well-liked, not because of his fame, but because of who he was as a person.
