Sandra Bullock in Gravity.
Back in 2013, Sandra Bullock snagged the main role in Alfonso Cuarón’s science-fiction thriller Gravity, she got a $20 million salary upfront, and a “15% first-dollar gross” deal from the box office, which means for every dollar the studio makes in profit, she would get 15 cents.
Gravity cost anywhere between $80 to $130 million to produce, plus marketing cost which probably equates around $200 million in total. The film made around $720 million worldwide, and Sandra Bullock ended up taking home a ginormous paycheck of at least $70 million.
