Which Beatle remained the most humble?

When it comes to his music, Paul isn’t humble. He knows he is good, but he usually works with other artists and producers, so he is not too into himself. As seen on talk shows, carpool karaoke, and other interviews, he appears to have a reasonable humbleness about him.

In interviews, John showed little humility. He proclaimed himself a genius several times and even wrote a not-overly-serious song called I’m the Greatest. Realizing it was too self-absorbed, he gave the song to Ringo to sing. He had moments of being humble, but, like his bed-ins for peace, there was always an air of him trying to be a common man while he was aware of doing so, making him more popular. John also claimed he no longer believed “in the Beatles” among others, including God, but he only believed in himself and Yoko.

George may seem humble as he got further into his religious beliefs, but then he put a good number of his songs into promoting those beliefs. Like John, self-promotion seldom seems humble when it is disguised in song. George’s sales suffered in part due to his religious songs. Nothing wrong with it, but not really humble.

Ringo seemed the most humble of the Beatles, but by singing the Lennon song I’m the Greatest, and featuring himself over the rest of the All Starr Band on his tours (again, nothing wrong with it, he was the star of the varied groups of performers).

Ringo does come across as humble, more than George or John, as he knows that without the other three, he might have still become a great drummer, but not the drummer of the best band in the world.

Paul spent a lot of his thirty years with Linda and their young children on a sheep farm in Scotland. Their children went to the same schools as the neighborhood farm children. All of his offspring were taught to be down-to-earth with those around them, just like their parents. In recent years, Paul has even taken the local train to work on occasion.

So by default, Paul is likely the most humble member of the Beatles!
