Absolutely, let me tell you this story.
There is this guy over here who looks way younger than his age (he’s actually 18), he is not considered a manly man, charming or good-looking by his own friends.
He fell in love with a friend of mine, she is very popular and undoubtedly beautiful.
His “friends” used to tease him because in their opinion he was too ugly to ask her out. His self-esteem decreased considerably at the point he didn’t even want to look himself in the mirror or go out living his teenage years. The situation went on for 6 long months and then this happened:
Oh yes, they’re a couple. They complete each others and I’ve never seen both of them so happy. Beauty has nothing to do with love. Shame on those fake friends who didn’t encourage and support him only because according to them he didn’t have a chance.
