Meet Klara — a bright, sweet little girl who just celebrated her 2nd birthday.
Only a short time after her birthday, her parents noticed a hard bump on her belly. Worried, they rushed her to the emergency room. What they thought might be something small turned into the most heartbreaking news any parent could hear.
Klara was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. From that moment, her family’s world changed completely.
Klara has now been in the hospital for over two months. She recently began her second round of chemotherapy, and thankfully, her tumor has started to shrink. This is a hopeful sign — but her journey is far from over.
Her treatment plan is long and difficult. Klara will still need:
- major surgery
- radiation therapy
- immunotherapy
- a bone marrow transplant
- and continued treatment even after she reaches remission
Despite everything, Klara has shown incredible strength. She is brave, resilient, and fighting with everything she has.
Her family is devastated by what she is going through, but they remain strong and hopeful — because Klara is strong and hopeful.
