There is an elderly lady who lives next door to me. She lives alone and has some difficulty getting around, so I help her by cutting her grass.
Today, I walked over to check on her and asked if she had eaten dinner yet. She told me she hadn’t. When I asked what she was planning to eat, she said she would probably just have a hot dog.
I told her to wait for a moment and asked if I could borrow a plate. She agreed, so I went back to my house and prepared a proper meal for her. When I brought it over and she saw the food, she smiled so brightly—her eyes lit up in a way I’ll never forget.
Seeing her happiness made me feel incredibly good. Later that evening, she sent me a message thanking me for the dinner. She said it was delicious, and reading that message truly made my night.
