Angela Hansen has already faced more pain than most people could ever imagine.
On July 4, 2023, her husband, Kyley, sadly drowned during a family pool party.
Now, Angela is living through another heartbreaking loss. On Friday, while cleaning out the family van at a car wash, her 22-month-old daughter, Ada, was hit and killed by a truck.
Angela’s sister, Lauren Paskett, told KSL that Angela had parked near the car wash playground, where Ada and her 4-year-old sister were playing.
At some point, Ada called out to her mom, and her big sister gently took her hand to walk her back. Just then, a truck parked nearby moved forward and hit Ada.
The family says the 4-year-old is deeply upset after seeing the accident happen. Angela herself is heartbroken.
Ada was not just her youngest child – she was, in many ways, “the last piece” of her late husband Kyley.
Now Angela is planning her little girl’s funeral and wants to bury her next to her father.
“Everyone is completely heartbroken. They are devastated. It’s a terrible accident,” Lauren said.
She also shared kind words about the 18-year-old who was driving the truck.
“We need to support both sides. I feel so sad for him, knowing he has to carry this for the rest of his life. We want peace for everyone, and we forgive him,” Lauren said.
