Goodbye, Betty
Our dear Betty has crossed the rainbow bridge. She came into our lives in July 2024, rescued during a cold winter night. We found her tied to a house, soaking wet from the rain, and covered in mud. That was the only life she had ever known.
We didn’t hesitate—we stepped in to help.
She was an old dog, ignored by the world. She had never known love, freedom, a warm bed, a full belly, or clean water. But everything changed for her that day.
Thanks to the work of our rescue group, Betty spent almost a year in a caring home. She became part of a family, living with her dog siblings—Chocolate, Coco, and Alma—who had also been saved from the streets of Valparaíso.
This is why we do what we do. It’s not about us—it’s always about them.
Every rescue means a life changed, a new story written. From pain to love.
It’s hard work. It takes heart, strength, and dedication. Sometimes it brings tears. But it always reminds us that it’s worth it.
We know her heart was healed.
Today, we say goodbye with heavy hearts, but also with peace. We know this past year gave Betty what she always deserved—a life full of love, comfort, and kindness.
We like to picture her now, running free—maybe with Minerva, a dog she looked so much like. Maybe they didn’t meet while alive, but who knows? Dogs have a way of finding each other when there’s love.
We will love you always, Betty. Forever.
