I happened to look over and saw a Sheriff

While traveling alone and more than four hours from home, I found myself in a stressful situation with a damaged tire. Feeling unsure and vulnerable, I noticed a sheriff nearby pumping gas and politely approached him to ask for help. Unfortunately, he brushed me off, acting as though he had more important matters to attend to.

As I stood there, discouraged and unsure of what to do next, a man named Klennis Anders overheard the conversation and immediately stepped in. He could see that the officer was unwilling to help and said to me, “Come on, I’ll help you.”

Klennis quickly realized that my tire was beyond repair. I believed I had a spare in my trunk, but sadly, I did not. What happened next still amazes me. Klennis went all the way to Walmart, bought a brand-new tire, and then worked tirelessly to remove the damaged tire from the rim and replace it with the new one. His son and another young man also joined in to help.

For more than two hours, Klennis worked nonstop to make sure I was safe and able to get back on the road. During that time, he shared that he has a 21-year-old daughter and said he would hope someone would show the same kindness to her if she were ever in a similar situation.

I truly believe that God was watching over me that day. What could have been a frightening and dangerous delay turned into a powerful reminder that angels really do come in all shapes and sizes.

I made it home safely, filled with gratitude and emotion. My family and I are incredibly thankful for Klennis’s kindness, selflessness, and compassion.

If you ever meet Klennis Anders, please tell him how truly wonderful he is. He will forever be remembered as a blessing in my life.
