It breaks my heart to admit that female tourists face danger here and must always have a male person with them to remain safe from se*xual harassment. I am not saying this problem is exclusive to our country, but since we have too many people, the chances of crime are higher.
Recently I saw a video of a Hindi-speaking Russian woman walking through a market in Delhi. A filthy guy followed her and said things like “be my friend”, “I want to make a Russian friend” and “you are se*xy”. The woman politely and repeatedly said no to whatever he was saying but he kept walking alongside her. There are a number of similar videos online. And you can just imagine how many other foreigner females must have suffered this and we never found out.
There has been crime against foreigners who visit Goa. Ra*pe being a part of it.
I wish our country isn’t called names for a problem that is committed across the world. But also, I want this problem to be taken extremely seriously and wish foreign females remain cautious and travel with male relatives. I express great regret for negative experiences of foreigners here.
