This is a photo of Luke Rowles at the age of 15. He came across one day a horrendous sight, a group of men in a garden, punching and kicking a helpless fox whose mouth had been brutally taped up with duct tape.
Without any hesitation for his own safety, Luke ran towards them and bravely pulled the injured fox away from their grip.
He tended the animal’s wounds and, when it had healed, released it back into the wild.
That moment was not just an act of courage, it was the beginning of a lifetime’s endeavor. Today, Luke goes on living his life rescuing and protecting animals.
The world could use more of people like him, compassionate, bold, and motivated by an unyielding desire to serve others who are not able to help themselves.
