Kevin Hillier, a guy from Australia, had a big stroke of luck. When he found a piece of solid gold in its pure state weighing just over 50 pounds, he found it using a rudimentary metal detector.
The piece sold for close to a million dollars and is currently on display in Las Vegas, specifically at the Golden Nuggets casino.
Its value is estimated to have increased, now they estimate it is worth around 40 million dollars.
