This happened to my friend’s son.
It was evening and bus was fully crowded.
There is a woman college in the route he travels.
Many women got in the bus, and the bus started.
A woman was carrying a heavy bag, as soon as he saw, he gave his seat.
She dint sit, instead, she asked “Are you trying to impress me ??”
He said, i saw you carrying a bag so wanted to help you.
She slapped him and said “ Enough of your Nakaras!!,”
“ Men are dogs…..” She went on using bad words.
It seems he could not do anything because there were many girls surrounded now.
Though they knew it is wrong, they were supporting the woman from college.

The next stop he got down, She was still shouting “ I see you again, i will file a police complaint…
The conductor also told based on his experience“ Many women are like these please restrain from helping”
From next day he traveled few days in Auto and later took a loan and bought a bike.
Even for today he does not go by bus.

For genuinely helping a woman he faced such harassment, and he has anxiety problems now. He faced a lot of mental issues because of the incident.
I am a mother and have 22 year old son, whenever he goes out i clearly remind him not to help any female whatever the issue may be!!

What toxic behavior has been normalized by society?
Violence against men by women. They are victim and empowered same time. The bus lady would have demanded a seat if he dint offer and cried as a victim.
Usually men offer out of respect and humanity and if women are not able to take it. Just leave them alone.
