Actor Kenneth More gave his opinion of having worked with James Stewart. It was the film No Highway in the Sky (1951), filmed in England.
Although he had only a small role, Kenneth More witnessed an occasion when James Stewart had to put his foot down with Marlene Dietrich. During filming, everyone was kept waiting by Dietrich and her lateness. Stewart wasn’t in good physical health at the time, having had an operation and the cold weather caused him discomfort. He entered Dietrich’s trailer to have a word with her, saying how everyone was growing impatient. She immediately appeared for filming. More respected James Stewart for sticking up for every single person on the set, including the film crew. Being a huge Hollywood star, Stewart could have said nothing but showed he was a class act off-camera.
