There was clearly a colour scheme to be followed.
The men are in dark blue suits and blue ties. The women are in light blue or cream. George and Charlotte are wearing blue and white. The carpet is blue, the curtains are blue. Even the portraits on the wall behind them are blue! How can anyone, honestly, look at this photograph and say there is no colour scheme? Everyone was clearly told to wear a certain colour- style is up to the person in question, but colour was obviously blue or cream for the women. Below is Lucy Middleton and Hannah Carter, both are godparents of Louis. What colour are they wearing? BLUE
Why did Meghan not follow the scheme? Harry managed to match with the other men, so the pair were obviously informed. If James Matthews (Pippa’s husband and Kate’s in-law) can wear blue, then why didn’t Meghan? This is her nephew’s christening so surely she would follow what the parents asked? The actual style of Meghan’s outfit is nice, but the colour is totally opposite to everyone else’s. I can think of only 2 reasons why she would wear this:
- She is merching Ralph Lauren- the dark olive green is possibly from their autumn collection which is why she would wear it beforehand. Olive green is not a typical summer colour.
- She wanted to stand out.
Number 1 is against the royal family rules and number 2 is just spiteful.
